According to ESPN.com, Jenkins herself at one point was of interest in the investigation, as police searched a storage unit under her name after they found that she may have attempted to hide evidence in the case. Police have yet to locate the murder weapon and while they looked in her storage unit for it, they did not seize anything from it. The report says that police felt that she tried to mislead the investigation and they also cited video surveillance that was confiscated from the home.

The justification for police included Jenkins leaving the home the day after Lloyd was killed with a trash bag that may have contained a "rigid" object, which is why police decided to search her unit. Authorities have had no luck finding the weapon near Hernandez's home or near a pond in Bristol that was searched for multiple days. Hernandez was arrested the week after Odin Lloyd's body was found near his home and now he faces life in prison for the killing.

Lloyd and Hernandez were connected through his fiancé and now reports have said that Jenkins' sister Shaneah was dating Lloyd at the time of his death. Hernandez was released by the Patriots after he was arrested and now, according to ESPN.com, the NFLPA has filed the grievance to get about $80,000 in bonus money back after the team decided to terminate his contract. The report says that teams can recoup money back after issues with the personal conduct policy and now the union will file that on his behalf as he is in jail.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to the charges and reports came out after search warrants were unsealed that he was not cooperative with police at first and that he was agitated when asking questions about the killing. New reports also say that Hernandez may have killed Lloyd for knowledge he had about involvement in a double murder in Boston last year and that gun was located by police this summer after a traffic accident turned it up.
