David Moyes will look to get one over Jose Mourinho as the first of the heavyweight matches of the English Premier League gets underway when Manchester United host Chelsea.

Mourinho has already started the mind games and will be keen to get one over relative big-name novice Moyes as both sides look to make a statement early in the season.

"I've lost, I've won, I drew," Mourinho said of his games against United. "I knocked them out in the Champions League, I was knocked out by them in the Champions League. I have every result against them. Maybe I have won more than lost, but what playing Man United gives me is pleasure, I like it.

"Last year when Real Madrid were playing the Champions League knockout phase and everybody was in Madrid with some tension because at that early stage we have to play Man United, I was happy. I like the stadium, I like the opponent and I like the difficulty of the game."

Moyes will again have the spotlight firmly planted on him with the manager again under pressure to play Wayne Rooney against the side that are so desperately seeking his signature.

"Wayne's got a good chance of playing," Moyes said. "He has good chance of starting.

"There has been a lot of things I have been looking forward to -- like taking the team on tour and leading them out at Wembley. But to do it at Old Trafford for the first game against Chelsea is a thrill for me, it really is.

"It would have been (a thrill), no matter who we were playing. It is just part of my job though and once you do it, you get on and do your job. It is a great honour to be manager of Manchester United. I don't know anybody who wouldn't want to be in this position."

United have several players missing, with Rafael, Darren Fletcher and Nick Powell definitely ruled out, while Nani, Ashley Young and Javier Hernandez are unlikely to play.

Mourinho only has David Luiz to worry about with the Brazilian defender a big doubt for the game.
