Los Angeles Lakers Rumors: Kobe Bryant Post Instagram Video Of Him Running On Treadmil As Expert Dr. Robbert Klapper Believes He'll Be Ready By The Season Opener (Video)

Aug 20, 2013 09:27 AM EDT

On Monday morning Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant tweeted that he had a big video announcement for his. Later in the day Bryant posted on Instagram a video of him running on an anti-gravity treadmill.

The specialized treadmill allows Bryant to walk or run without putting to much stress and weight on his surgically repaired Achilles, but also serves as a huge improvement from earlier in June when he could only walk on the anit-gravity treadmill.

However, despite the video showing him running it's still impossible to know right now whether or not he'll be ready to play opening night, but in the opinion of Dr. Robert Klapper it remains to be a possible goal.

Dr. Klapper appeared on the Max & Marcellus Show on ESPNLA 710 and gave some more hope to Lakers Nation:

At age 34, Bryant still managed to post one of his greatest seasons of his career last year before ultimately being sidelined by the Achilles injury. Even at 80 percent seems good enough for Bryant, but the questions remains to whether that'll be good enough to carry the Lakers who barely made the seventh seed in the playoffs.

Bryant is scheduled to have his Achilles evaluated in a few weeks, and that will give a better idea on whether or not he'll really be ready for opening night against their locker room rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers.
