Los Angeles Angels young star Mike Trout is looked at as the next great generational player in the sport and if it were up to him, PED users would get a lifetime ban and that includes Alex Rodriguez.

According to ESPN.com, Trout said when asked in an interview with New York radio station WFAN about steroids and said that if a player is caught they should be out of the game. He says it hurts players who do things the right way and that players should be all natural and that many are looking for an extra edge. Trout said that it's good that the MLB is looking to catch players and that the game should be played cleanly.

The angels are playing against the Yankees in a four-game series and the young star comes in hitting .330 this season with 20 home runs, 73 RBIs and 26 stolen bases, matching some of his numbers from an amazing rookie year. Trout won rookie of the year and is looked at as the next MLB superstar. Rodriguez is appealing a 211-game suspension received in connection with the Biogenesis scandal and he hit his first home run of the season off Justin Verlander on Sunday against the Tigers.

Trout went on to say that he was frustrated with the use of PEDs and said there was no place in the game for it.

"To me, personally, I think you should be out of the game if you get caught," Trout said Monday during an interview with New York radio station WFAN. "It takes away from the guys that are working hard every day and doing it all-natural."
