While some think are thinking Brandon Jennings is just being used as ploy for other trades in Detroit, the newly acquired Pistons point guard is only thinking one thing, championship. Jennings along with general manager Joe Dumars, was introduced as the newest members of the upgraded Pistons. Josh Smith, Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond join the star in a new supersized roster for Detroit and Jennings is liking their future together.

"We could bring the Lob City to Detroit this year," Jennings said.

He certainly is not wrong about that. Dumars made a big effort this offseason to upgrade the talent level on the team. After the Clippers' named themselves "Lob City", the Pistons decided to create the same goal, or at least Jennings did.

Detroit has three NBA championships in the last 25 years. In the past four seasons they have gone 39-43 to go along with a first-round playoff sweep. However, 2013 could bring different results after the talent added in free agency. While Detroit has a strong history behind it, Jennings understands that is it important to brush off the past and create a new future. Part of that is becoming a different player.

"You're going to see a whole different player," Jennings said. "...I definitely have to change my game. The things that I was doing in Milwaukee, I won't have to do here, take all the bad shots. Now, I can just actually be myself and be who I was five years ago when I was in high school, playing AAU basketball."

Jennings said he is going into this season with a chip on his shoulder. After a very rocky relationship with the Milwaukee Bucks and multiple attempts at being traded, Jennings is happy to be starting fresh with the Pistons. Dumars said that attitude is what attracted him to Jennings in the first place.

"We're not afraid to go down that road," Dumars said. "That doesn't dissuade us at all from going up to guys like that. As a matter of fact, we like guys like that. That works in Detroit. I can't speak for other places. But to bring guys in with an edge, playing with a chip on their shoulders, that's always been successful here. We're not afraid to go down that road. "

Smith is likely to have the same attitude as Jennings. He was over looked by multiple teams in favor of Dwight Howard. Now that both are in Detroit, the outcome could be better than expected.
