Atlanta Braves Trade Rumors: Tim Hudson Injury
Tim Hudson is carted off the field after suffering a fractured right ankle against the New York Mets on Wednesday night. "

Atlanta Braves pitcher Tim Hudson was the recipient of a gruesome ankle injury during Wednesday night's matchup against the New York Mets, where Eric Young Jr. accidentally stepped on it during a race to first base, resulting in a fracture that will sideline the 38-year-old pitcher for the remainder of the season.

Given the extent of the injury, neither Hudson nor his wife, Kim, are harboring a bit of ill-will towards Young. It's clear that what happened was an accident and Young was visibly distraught after injuring Hudson.

Though it's understandable for the Hudson's to have some irrational thoughts after the traumatic event, wife Kim doesn't feel any negative feelings at all. She wrote one of the kindest tweets to Young on Thursday afternoon, absolving him from any blame and accepting his prayers for Tim.

"That was big time," said Young, who wants to play in Friday's doubleheader. "I was able to see them both last night back here with the doctors and everything. To see them both was very comforting, especially with both of them saying to play the game like I do and continuing to play hard. It means a lot."

Earlier Thursday morning, Kim sent out a similar tweet to the Mets organization.

The team said Hudson will have season-ending surgery in Atlanta once the swelling subsides.

"I think we've got to rally behind this, as a team and as a pitching staff," Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said Thursday. "We're going to miss him, but we've got a good club."
