Dodgers Rumors: Matt Kemp Says Ryan Braun Should Lose NL MVP Award After Steroids Suspension, Los Angeles Star Said He Feels Betrayed By Brewers OF

Ryan Braun is suspended for the rest of the 2013 season after coming to an agreement with the MLB and after that decision was handed down, Los Angeles Dodgers star Matt Kemp was asked about it and said that Braun should lose the MVP award from back in 2011 that he won over the Dodgers outfielder.

According to ESPN LA.com, Kemp said that many feel betrayed by Braun and that he was disappointed and previously saw him as a friend. Kemp came in second place that season for the MVP award and now Braun has admitted to wrongdoing and has taken a suspension from the MLB. Braun had 388 points in the voting and Kemp had 332 and many now feel that Kemp deserves the award after what has transpired. Skip Schumaker was very critical of Braun and also said that Kemp should have the award.

Jack O'Connell, secretary-treasurer of the Baseball Writers' Association of America, said the award vote was final, but that hasn't stopped players from expressing their opinions. Kemp has been dealing with injuries this season, but after what happened with Braun it's clear that he deserved the award that season.

Braun will lose over $3 million while serving his suspension and now the Brewers likely wish they could go back and sign Prince Fielder to an extension rather than the outfielder.

"Talking about things like this is very, very touchy,' Kemp said. "It's weird. Me, I don't like to talk about this stuff but I feel like I have to a little bit.

"Skip did come out and say some things and he said how he felt," Kemp added. "A lot of players don't do that but you respect guy."
