New England Patriots Rumors: Tom Brady Makes First Statement Since Aaron Hernandez Murder Arrest, 'I Have Moved On'

The aftermath of former New England Patriots' Aaron Hernandez murder case has brought upon mixed reactions that included shock, frustration and even support for the former tight end. However, as the NFL season approaches and training camp has begun, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has said he's "moved on" since the news broke and has continued focus on the future of the team in the upcoming season.

SI.com's Peter King sat down with Brady and discussed how the absence of Hernandez would affect the team's offense:

PETER KING: What's your reaction to Aaron Hernandez's being arrested and cut from the team, and how will his absence affect your offense?

TOM BRADY: I've seen a lot of things over 13 years, and what I have learned is that mental toughness and putting aside personal agendas for what's in the best interest of the team matters most. My job is to play quarterback, and I'm going to do that the best way I know how, because I owe that to my teammates regardless of who is out there on the field with me. I have moved on. I'm focusing on the great teammates I have who are committed to helping us win games. The only thing I care about is winning. Nothing is going to ever get in the way of that goal. I'm just excited to report to camp and see what we can accomplish as a team. The fate of our season will be determined by the players in our locker room-nothing else.

Hernandez awaits his trial for his connection in the shooting death of his friend Odin Llyod, staff at the Bristol County House of Correction have said that he's followed all the rules and has been causing little to no problems.

While incarcerated, Hernandez has been separated from the general population of inmates because Hodgson says that there are concerns that the other inmates could attack him to raise their own reputation.

Hernandez doesn't have access to television but does have books available and is allowed to write letters. He is allowed to have visitors for one hour each week. The jail has declined to comment on whether any of Hernandez's former teammates on the Patriots have paid him a visit.
