Orlando Magic Rumors: Team Waiting for LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony In 2014? Victor Oladipo Signs and Makes Summer League Debut Against Boston Celtics

The Orlando Magic were one of the worst teams in the NBA last season and after getting the second overall pick in the draft, the franchise selected Indiana Hoosiers star Victor Oladipo with their first round pick and after signing him on Sunday he made his pro debut right away in the summer league.

According to ESPN.com, Oladipo signed his rookie contract on Sunday and although the team did not disclose the terms of the deal, the collective bargaining agreement allows for two-year contracts with options for two seasons after that by the team. Oladipo was considered an option for the number one pick and was looked as one of the best players in the draft. He was a star for Indiana this past season and along with teammate Cody Zeller was a top pick in the draft last month.

Oladipo played in the Orlando Pro Summer League in his professional debut on Sunday and led the Magic to a win over the Boston Celtics with 18 points, seven assists and six rebounds along with five steals in the 95-88 victory. Oladipo wasn't perfect in his debut, as he had six turnovers, but he showed some explosiveness and why the Magic picked him second overall, as he played well on defense and was aggressive with the ball.

Oladipo said that he was nervous playing in his first game, but that his teammates supported him and helped him feel comfortable. The Magic are hoping for quick improvements after going just 20-62 last season and Oladipo is expected to be a big part of that. The team is being quiet in free agency this season and could make a splash with the 2014 class next year.

"They definitely helped me a lot today," he said. "Without them I probably would have been all over the place and they kind of settled me down, helped me through my mistakes and just helped me be poised out there. It was fun."
