Wimbledon 2013 Score: Sloane Stephens vs. Marion Bartoli Updates and Stats of Women's Singles Quarterfinals Match

Jul 02, 2013 09:25 AM EDT

It will be Sloane Stephens vs. Marion Bartoli at Wimbledon 2013 as they will face off in the Women's Singles Quarterfinals. Only one can advance to the 2013 Wimbledon Semifinals. Keep pace with the score at Wimbledon as Stephens and Bartoli attempt to advance.

Bartoli arrives at the quarterfinals as the more experienced player. She is the No. 15 seed in the tournament and has a pretty impressive resume, though she lacks a grand slam title in her 13-year career. Her be finish at Wimbledon was in 2007, when she finished as the runner-up of the tournament. Bartolic lost at the Finals to a then dominant Venus Williams.

This is only Stephens' second Wimbledon appearance and she's already building on her previous experience. In 2012, Stephens made it to the third round. She's at least bettered her 2013 run by two rounds as she is making her second career quarterfinal appearance in a grand slam.

In their head-to-head history, Bartoli has the 1-0 advantage. It's not an adequate sample size, but if anything, we should be in for a good battle as they went three sets in their meeting at New Haven in 2012.

Analysts expect Stephens to have a bright future. Like Bartoli, she's also chasing after her first grand slam title. However, only one can advance into the semifinals.
