Aaron Hernandez is locked up in a jail cell for the death of Odin Lloyd and as more and more information comes out, the relationship between the two and their significant others is becoming more clear, including how they met and how long they knew each other.

The Boston Globe reports that Hernandez met Lloyd through his girlfriend and that the two knew each other for about two years and often went out to nightclubs together and hung out as a group. Lloyd was found dead a mile from Hernandez's home and he has been charged with first degree murder, a shocking turn of events for two people who were supposed to be friends. Lloyd was found with five gunshots and the judge at Hernandez's arraignment said the killing appeared to be execution style.

The police motive of the killing stems from an incident at Rumors nightclub in Boston on June 14, in which Lloyd alleged disrespected Hernandez and possibly talked to some people he did not like. Police said this is where the motive came from, but some writers have speculated that there is more to the story, including drugs and possible knowledge of past crimes. Some reports have come out to say that Lloyd knew of Hernandez's involvement in a double murder, which he is being investigated in connection to now, as well as information about other crimes.

Lloyd was found with shell casings that matched ammo Hernandez owned and blue bubble gum that Hernandez purchased the night of the murder was also found. Hernandez is facing life in prison for the murder charges and he also is facing gun charges for having certain guns illegally. He was denied bail twice and in his hearing the judge said that he is a flight risk because of the serious nature of the crimes and the fact that he has the means to do it.

Hernandez was released by the Patriots after being arrested despite having a $40 million contract and now his NFL career is likely over. Hernandez was considered to be one of the top tight ends in all of football and now it is unlikely he will ever get out of jail, as he is being tied to other crimes.
