The British and Irish Lions will look to carry forward the momentum created by the narrow win over Australia in the first Test, when they take on the Melbourne Rebels in a tour match at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium aka AAMI Park.
The Lions, though, are reeling from the news of influential lock Paul O'Connell being ruled out of the rest of the series with a fractured arm. England's Geoff Parling is expected to replace O'Connell for the second Test Saturday.
"Paul's a massive loss," forwards coach Graham Rowntree said. "He's such a big influence on the group. He's playing exceptionally well, but you've got to get on with these things, that's why we brought so many players.
"Whether he's going to stay or not, I'm not sure yet. I'd like him to because of the influence he has around the group, but we'll find out in the next few days what he's going to do.
"I'm not going to try and lie (about Parling starting on Saturday): Geoff is our next lineout caller as such and he's been doing very well coming off the bench and he's taken his chance when he's started as well. We've got good cover there so it's a chance for him.
"With the Lions you've just got to roll with the punches in terms of injuries and changes of personnel and moving every couple of days. You know that when you accept the challenge of being a coach on a tour like this."
Rowntree believes losing O'Connell for the rest of the tour will bring the Lions, who will be captained by Dan Lydiate for the match against the Rebels, together. "Losing someone like Paul galvanises a squad like us," forwards coach Graham Rowntree said. "It will definitely bring us together.
"Gats spoke to the lads three times about this weekend, how we've got to lift another couple of gears. I thought we deserved that victory last weekend, but our intensity and accuracy have to go up again and I'm pretty confident we can do that."
