Clippers Rumors: Danny Granger Trade An Option For Eric Bledsoe As Doc Rivers Celtics Deal Agreed To? Los Angeles Could Send Star To Indiana Pacers or Orlando Magic

The Los Angeles Clippers have been involved in trade rumors for weeks with the Boston Celtics and with Doc Rivers appearing to be on his way out to LA, the team is looking towards other deals and one option could be for star Danny Granger from the Indiana Pacers.

According to Pro Basketball Talk, the Clippers have started to talk with the Pacers about Granger and the talks involve star Eric Bledsoe, who was previously mentioned in the deals with Boston. The Clippers reportedly wouldn't include him in the Celtics deals in the hopes of using him in a trade with the Lakers for Dwight Howard that also involved Blake Griffin and now it appears the Pacers are interested.

Granger has been considered a trade option by many since the Pacers did very well without him all year and as Lance Stephenson starts to develop more, head coach Frank Vogel many not even want to start Granger anymore. Si.com reports that the Clippers have spoken with both Orlando Magic and Indiana Pacers about Bledsoe, including deals with Granger or Magic star Aaron Afflalo.

The Pacers may want to keep Granger to see how he recovers from serious knee surgery, but after the way the team played Miami without him, they may feel he is expendable. The Clippers see Bledsoe as a piece that will get dealt before Chris Paul re-signs so they have more room to sign him to a deal and the staunchness of the Clippers of putting Bledsoe in any deals shows that they have some plan for him in mind.

The Pacers took Miami to seven games in the East finals and adding a player like Bledsoe for Granger could make the team even better. The roster is very deep with names like Roy Hibbert, David West, Paul George and others and adding someone like Bledsoe could give them that championship push.
