Three of the big four will get their Wimbledon campaign underway as the biggest Grand Slam of the year kicks off Monday.

The wonderful grass courts of the All-England club will be on view as Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal look to progress into the second round with victories in their respective first round matches.

Federer, the defending champion and seven-time winner here, starts proceedings at Centre Court with his first round match against Victor Hanescu of Romania.

"I haven't thought about it a whole lot," Federer said when asked about winning a record eighth title at Wimbledon. "I can talk about that if I've won the tournament, but not right before. I know the road is hard, but it is possible. I'm looking forward to the challenge really.

"You really feel very unique, clearly, because you are the one opening the court. It's something you look back on...That I was able to do it that many times is fantastic. I feel very proud."

Murray is slated to play the final match on Centre Court, with Britain's great hope, who lost agonizingly to the Swiss great in the final last year, set to take on German Benjamin Becker.

"When I played here as a senior for the first time, I mean, I actually almost wasn't nervous," Murray said. "I was so excited to really play here.

"(Now) there's a lot more pressure and a lot more expectation, a lot more nerves. I think for all British players, yeah, it's a huge part of their career."

Murray, while losing to Federer in the final last year, did beat the 17-time Grand Slam champion in the final of the London Olympics on the same court and the Scot is taking that confidence with him for the 2013 tournament.

"The mindset is similar in that, you know, I come in wanting to try and win the event," he said. "I've prepared as best as I could. I think in some ways, I feel that I'm putting less pressure on myself.

"A combination of that (Wimbledon) final and the way I played in it, and also having the Olympics to look forward to, I think that was the period that changed me, changed my mindset a bit."

Nadal will take on Belgian Steve Darcis at Court No. 1, after the match between women's No. 2 seed Victoria Azarenka and Maria Joao Koehler.

Maria Sharapova's opening match is sandwiched between that of Federer and Murray, with the former champion set to face off against Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic.
