Things continue to get worse for New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez as he is investigated in a murder, as he reportedly destroyed his home security system as well as his phone, according to ABC News.

The investigation began when he was found to be connected to a man shot to death execution style and the new report said that the phone Hernandez gave authorities was in pieces. The surveillance system was also smashed intentionally according to the report. Police said cleaners were hired on Monday to scrub his mansion and more has come out about Hernandez and the connections to Odin Lloyd, who was shot and killed.

Police said that he was found a mile from the tight end's home and that he has connections to the player through his girlfriend. Reports say that he was with the man on the night of the murder and Deadspin reports that the man dated Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez's girlfriend's sister and that he was out with him at a bar the night he was murdered. Police investigated the home of Hernandez and searched a car and he had at first not been named a suspect and it is unclear if he is now, but reports say he will be taken in.

The Hernandez murder investigation is taking some fast turns and twists and as local news choppers chase him down in Boston, other reports have been coming out about him being involved in other nightclub incidents, including one in Florida as well as two others in Providence.

According to NESN.com, Hernandez has been reportedly involved in two incidents outside Providence nightclubs in May and June, with police filing a report in May about Hernandez being taunted by a Jets fan at Viva. The two needed to be separated and at one point police saw someone discarding a gun, which was not found to be Hernandez's. Hernandez walked away from the incident and it is unclear why a report was filed. The incident occurred on Thayer Street outside Viva.

Police asked for help in finishing evidence about a broken mirror and the police also searched his home and questioned the tight end. He is connected to him through the fact that Lloyd dated the sister of his baby's mother.

According to ESPN.com, police searched his home in North Attleboro on Tuesday for his connection to the case and that authorities will also interview the tight end. A report from ABC says that he has been "uncooperative", but that he is not a suspect. The report says that the search lasted two hours and that two friends who were in the house tried to leave but were stopped. ESPN reports that officers took a box from the house and while he hasn't been named a suspect, a rental vehicle with Rhode Island plates was what led the authorities to the tight end.

Hernandez is one of the most important players for the Patriots and he has 175 receptions for 1,956 yards and 18 touchdowns in his career. He missed time last season with an injury and he recently signed a five-year contract extension worth $40 million and he has been teamed up with Gronkowski to form a great tight end duo for New England.

"He [Hernandez] has not been ruled out. We are not calling him a suspect, but he is definitely not in the clear," said one police official close to the investigation.
