Los Angeles Lakers Rumors: Kobe Bryant Takes In New York Yankees vs. LA Angels On Father's Day, Injury Rehab Going Well As Star Wants Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol Back

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant is rehabbing from a serious Achilles injury and despite having to make a big comeback, that hasn't stopped him from showing up around town, as he did at the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Angels game on Sunday for Father's Day.

Bryant showed up on the broadcast and while the Lakers star is more concentrated on basketball, he had time to take out on Father's day just after he had to deal with a family court battle. He got to see an exciting game, as the Yankees went up 6-0 early before giving back five runs and eventually wining by the score of 6-5. Mariano Rivera got the save and CC Sabathia pitched one of his best games of the season before David Robertson and Rivera made it exciting at the end.

"The moment doesn't really get to him," Travis Hafner said of Rivera, baseball's career saves leader. "As long as he's got the lead, you feel he's going to find a way to get the win."

Hafner hit a home run in the game and Rivera ended up with his 632nd save and Sabathia pitched a five hitter to get the win. Rivera notched his 24th save of the season and Lyle Overbay also added an RBI double. Kobe took in the game just as trade rumor started flying about the Lakers and the Clippers and the Celtics, but if it were up to Kobe he would like to have Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol back with the Lakers next season.
