New England Patriots Rumors: Austin Collie Visits After Tim Tebow Signing As Bill Belichick Likes Offense With Tom Brady In Minicamp

The New England Patriots have signed Tim Tebow and will give him a good look at in minicamps this week and the team is planning to do the same for another player, as former Colts receiver Austin Collie is coming in for a visit.

According to ESPN.com, Collie came in for a workout with the team and while he hasn't been signed, there is a chance that he could end up in camp or on the roster for the Patriots, as the team has some issues at wide receiver. Collie has dealt with injuries and concussions while missing 22 games over three seasons, but he is ready to return and if he signs he could be an interesting option for Brady in the slot.

Collis said he would sign a waiver to play again and that could end up being the case in NE. The team is happy with their move on signing Tebow and now the quarterback has a chance to grow in a normal environment after the New York Jets bungled his entire trade. Tebow gained just 102 yards rushing and was on the field for 70 plays and after all the fanfare the team had in signing him, they wasted any potential he had with them.

It would not be a surprise to see Tebow on the field against the Jets when they play this season and that will be another way for Belichick to get at the franchise.
