NBA News And Rumors: Andrew Bynum's Future In Philadelphia Nonexistent? Sixers GM Sam Hinkie Calls Trade For The All-Star A 'Failure'

May 15, 2013 12:00 PM EDT

After all the hype behind the Philadelphia 76ers' trade for All-Star center Andrew Bynum, someone had to call it as it is, so makes sense it would be general manager Sam Hinkie.

After just being named the team's president and GM, Hinkie wasted no time in putting his opinion on the trade out there, and according to the way he sees it, it's fair to call the Bynum trade a "failure."

The trade for Bynum cost the Sixers All-Star Andre Iguodala to the Denver Nuggets and young big man Nikola Vucevic to the Orlando Magic.

What have they got in return? A bench filler with very funny hairstyle choices.

Bynum hasn't played a game the entire season for the Sixers, leaving the team and their fans in total disarray.

Now after getting nothing, the Sixers can end up with nothing now that Bynum is now an unrestricted free agent. The franchise now has to decide whether they want to invest more money in an fragile clumsy big man or chalk it up as a loss and both sides go their separate ways.

Bynum recently made headlines after being spotted out on the dance floor during his travels to Spain. He has a history of doing stupid things and you can now add dancing to after surgery to one of them. Earlier this season, the seven-foot All-Star admitted that he re-injured his knees in a bowling accident, which caused everyone around the league to further question his maturity.
