Manchester City and Wigan will lock horns in the F.A. Cup final at Wembley Saturday.

City will star as favorites, but Wigan definitely have it in them to surprise any side, despite their struggles in the English Premier League.

City skipper Vincent Kompany believes it would be great to lift the F.A. Cup for the second time in three years.

"You shouldn't take these kinds of games for granted, they don't always keep coming," Kompany said. "It (would be) unbelievable for us to do it again, and for the fans it (would be) unbelievable as well.

"We have to be respectful of every trophy we can get. If we win this one it will be massive for the club and something to cherish.

"If you win a trophy you should celebrate it, you consider it as a great achievement. It is something that will be remembered forever."

City have a really good recent record against Wigan, but Kompany knows the threat posed by the Latics, who have played some wonderful football on their way to their first ever F.A. Cup final.

"They are one of the more difficult sides we have played this season," Kompany added. "You can see it's a team that doesn't fear keeping possession. When it's going well for them they are a very difficult team to play against. We have to be careful.

"When they played at Etihad, they were really good and caused us a lot of trouble. But we managed it really well in the end. We didn't concede and we won the game. I think they are a good team and if people think they will be easy then it is a mistake."

Wigan have plenty of injury problems with John Beausejour and Ronnie Stam almost definitely ruled out, while Maynor Figueroa, Ivan Ramis and Albert Crusat are out for the season.

Roberto Martinez is hopeful over the availability of Antolin Alcaraz, with the defender missing the last few weeks through injury.

Manchester City do not have too many injury worries, with only Scott Sinclair ruled out for the season. Roberto Mancini is again likely to stick with second-choice goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon, who has done well in the F.A. Cup so far.

"To play at Wembley for the first time was a great pleasure for me," Pantilimon told the F.A. Cup Final matchday program. "It was fantastic for me and for the team to win that game and make it to The Final.

"I've enjoyed every game. I haven't played too many games, but every match was a good one because every time I have a chance I need to take it."
