The NHL playoffs have continued in exciting fashion since they started last week and a number of series are starting to take shape as the games go on, including with the Islanders and Penguins, who played an overtime contest in Game 3 won by the Penguins to give them a 2-1 series advantage.

The team let a lead get away to the Islanders in the third period after allowing two goals and the team was able to hang on a comeback in overtime as the Kunitz scored the game winning goal for the Penguins, while Jonathan Tavares added a goal for the Islanders. The Islanders now have to comeback from 2-1 down and the Penguins appear to be heating up at the right time after winning 5-4.

The all-Canada series between the Canadiens and the Senators has gotten pretty interesting, as Ottawa exploded with six goals, including four in the third period, as the team defeated Montreal at home to take a 2-1 series advantage. The team got a goal from Daniel Alfredsson and three from Pageau as Cary Price had 24 saves for Montreal and Craig Anderson has 33 saves in the victory. The team now has the momentum heading into game four, while the Canucks are likely dead after dropping their third straight game.

Roberto Luongo has been thrust into action for the Canucks and has not delivered, losing the first three games to go down 3-0 in the series and Patrick Marleau had another goal to put the Canucks in position to go home. Corey Schneider returned to action and made 23 saves in the loss and the team was tied 2-2 in the third before giving up three goals to the Sharks in the third period.

The Wild hung in with the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday, bringing the series to 2-1 after an overtime win with a winning goal from Zucker in overtime, while Zach Parise also had a goal for Minnesota. Corey Crawford had 34 saves for the Blackhawks, while Josh Harding was excellent for the Wild while making 25 saves.

Four more games on Monday as the Caps and Rangers battle, Maple Leafs and Bruins, blues and Kings as well as Red Wings and Ducks.
