NASCAR is known for its high tempers and fights and on Friday that popped up again in Richmond, as Nelson Piquet Jr. was involved in a brawl that entangled multiple crews and driver Brian Scott, who ended up getting kicked in the groin area.

According to the Associated Press, two members from Richard Childress Racing were arrested following the altercation, which occurred after Piquet and Scott had issues on the track that spilled over after the race on Friday. After the race Scott went over to Piquet and the crews got into it with each other while the two drivers got physical, with Piquet pushing Scott and hitting him in the groin. Scott called it a "chicken move" and said he just wanted to talk to the fellow driver.

There was the confrontation at the pits after the race and the fight occurred afterwards as the crew members and drivers were heading back to their motorhome area. Brad Keselowski won the race over Kevin Harvick at Richmond after an intense finish down the stretch in the Nationwide Series race, giving him his 21st career victory after an exciting finish that saw Harvick lead the race four different times and was on top for 96 laps.

Authorities said there was a fight in the area after the race and that is what led them to arrest two members of the crew, including Michael Searce, who was arrested on multiple charges of misdemeanor assault, and Thomas Costello, who was arrested on one count of the same charge. The report says that both were released on Sunday.

According to owner Richard Childress, the members were on their way back home when they were confronted and since it did not occur in the track, the local police became involved. NASCAR did not comment on the situation and Turner Scott Motorsports said that the other crew was confronted after the race and it resulted in an arrest of the two men.

NASCAR is known for its speed on the track, but Tuesday's tire test in Indianapolis was higher than anyone expected, as Jeff Gordon clocked in at 214 Mph following a 212 run from Mark Martin on the track.

According to the Associated Press, Gordon was surprised at his number and said that all the cars were quick on the track on Tuesday before the weather started heating up. The 2.5-mile oval gave the drivers a chance to work their tires and they got to test out new environmentally friendly ones on the cars and the results were fast. The tires got some mixed results from drivers after issues on turns and Gordon and other drivers will be also testing on Wednesday.
