Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be the big favorites when they take on struggling Pune Warriors in an IPL 2013 game at the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium.
CSK have been in brilliant form so far this season, winning seven of their nine games to top the points table.
Pune Warriors are at the other end of the table, though, languishing at the bottom having won just two out of nine.
CSK are on a five-match winning streak, and if the form book is anything to go by there is only going to be one winner. Having said that, though, one of the two victories for the Pune Warriors in IPL 2013 came against CSK, and that too at the fortress that is Chepauk.
Therefore, Pune Warriors will be desperate to put in a similar performance in their own backyard, while being mindful of a backlash from the IPL powerhouses.
"Now seven matches are remaining and we will have to win them all," Pune Warriors pace bowler Ashok Dinda said. "Let's see. Nothing is impossible and we will try our best.
"We don't have to think that it's a 16-game tournament. Starting now, we have to take it as a seven-match tournament, where each and every match is a knockout match.
"And if we lose even one game, we are out of the reckoning. Basically, play each and every match like it is the final."
Dinda said he will be targeting CSK skipper MS Dhoni's wicket on Tuesday, knowing the danger that the dynamic batsman poses if he stays for a considerable time in the middle. "I will be focusing on Dhoni Bhai," he said. "He is batting really well these days.
"I need to work out where to bowl to him. I have to plan out differently for him, since he knows how I had bowled at him in the last match when I got him out and sealed a win for us."
