Tyrann Mathieu tweeted out the invite for his first-round draft party."

It remains to be seen what will happen to Tyrann Mathieu over the upcoming weekend of the NFL Draft. The troubled cornerback is looking to complete a comeback into football and could hear his name being called anywhere between the first and fourth rounds of the draft. It is speculated that a few teams are considering taking Mathieu in the first round, while multiple scouts assume he is a mid-draft pick at best. However, none of that is stopping Mathieu from acting like a top pick. The former LSU star will be hosting a first-round draft part at SL, a night club in Manhattan.

Mathieu tweeted out a photo of the party's invitation, urging fans to come out and celebrate. He then thanked everyone for their support and motivation. The "Honey Badger" has been hampered with numerous off-the-field issues that caused him to be dismissed from the LSU football team and released from the university all together. He is attempting to get back into football after attending rehab for a drug problem so hosting a party might not send the best message to NFL teams.

The news of the upcoming party comes just after reports surfaced that Mathieu will enter into the draft with a clean slate. According to NFL.com, he passed his drug test from February's NFL Combine. This comes as an encouraging sign for a player that has struggled with substance abuse. He recently admitted to failing over 10 drug tests while at LSU.

Mathieu is getting a lot of attention from multiple teams, including the Detroit Lions, New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons. After being dismissed from LSU and restarting his football career, he began training with Arizona Cardinals cornerback and former teammate, Patrick Peterson. He is considered a high -risk, high-reward type player. He brings a lot of speed and athleticism to the cornerback position. While he lacks the standard size of an NFL defensive player, he is known for his ability to create turnovers and get a hand on the ball. However, teams must be convinced he has put his past behind him once and for all.

Where Mathieu will land is anyone's guess. No matter what, he will celebrate like the first-round pick he hopes to be.
