Oakland Raiders Draft Rumors: Trade Down Option As Miami Dolphins Want Eric Fisher Or Lane Johnson? Jarvis Jones and Dee Milliner Could Be Available

The Oakland Raiders have the number three pick in the draft after missing the playoffs again and the team has a number of players they would like to pick, but they also wouldn't mind getting some extra selections, fueling speculation that the team would like to trade down in the first round.

According to NFL.com, the Raiders are one team that may trade down and the Cleveland Browns could also pull a similar move. The Raiders have a number of options at three if they stay, including with Dee Milliner, Sharrif Floyd, Geno Smith and Jarvis Jones. General manager Reggie McKenzie has done a good job this offseason of adding talent at cheap prices and the team could try to snag more draft picks after losing a bunch in the original Carson Palmer trade.

While the Raiders may have a hard time finding someone to trade with, the Dolphins could be a natural fit, as they have two first round picks and have been targeting a left tackle, but if they do not move up, chances are they will miss out on the top three. Luke Joeckel or Eric Fisher are expected to go number one to the Chiefs and with the Dolphins drafting out of the top 10, chances are that Fisher and Lane Johnson, who is the third rated left tackle, will likely be gone.

The Dolphins need a left tackle after letting Jake Long go in free agency and the team may not want to trade for Chiefs tackle Branden Albert as they might not want to deal with signing another long term contract. The Raiders have made a number of moves this offseason, including trading for Matt Flynn and trading away Palmer.

The team signed free agents in Kevin Burnett and Nick Roach at linebacker as well as Tracy Porter and Mike Jenkins at cornerback. The Raiders now have a number of veterans on defense to help things out, as the team was ranked 20th and 18th in yards per game last season with rushing and passing.
