The Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres will complete a three game series on Thursday night. The dodgers are off to a strong start this season going 5-3 while the Padres are kicking things off slowly with a 2-6 start.

Zack Greinke will make his second start in a Dodger's uniform, looking to follow-up on a strong debut. He gave up only two hits in his first game, while striking out six batters as the Dodgers won 3-0 over Pittsburgh. He signed a $147 million, six-year deal in the offseason. He pitched 13 innings in the spring and wanted to get off to an impressive start this season.

"First impressions are important. But I'm just trying to get one at a time. No matter who it is, they're the most important batter at the moment," Greinke said.

Greinke has only faced the Padres once in his career back in 2011. The only familiar faces will be Will Venable and Cameron Maybin who went a combined 1 for 5 in the game against him. Carlos Quentin has had some success against the pitcher, going 6 for 24 with three homeruns against him. While the Dodgers starting pitching is proving to be worth the money, their bullpen is the downfall of the team. They have allowed a combined eight runs over six innings during the Padres series.

Carl Crawford has been on fire this season for the Dodgers. He has had four-straight two-hit games. He has gone 13 for 28 in the leadoff spot for the team. Matt Kemp however is not getting 2013 off to a great start. He has only five hits in 30 at-bats.

Jason Marquis will get the start against the Dodgers. In his last start he only gave up two earned runs in the team's loss against Colorado. In Marquis' career against the Dodgers, he is 6-4 with a 2.64 ERA. While Kemp is off to a slow start, it will not improve against Marquis. He is 2 for 17 in his career against the right-hander.
