Mumbai Indians will look to pile on further hurt on the Delhi Daredevils when the two sides face off in IPL 2013 at the Wankhede Stadium.
The Daredevils are yet to win a game, having lost both their matches in IPL 2013 so far. Mumbai, on the other hand, pulled off a close victory over the Chennai Super Kings to garner their first win of the season, after losing their opening game to the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The Daredevils will be buoyed by the fact that both Virender Sehwag and Morne Morkel are likely to play their first games this year.
"We have discussed after the two losses as to where we went wrong and what needs to be done, we are just trying to get better and to be honest we haven't played to our potential," Daredevils all-rounder Irfan Pathan said. "Once we start playing to our potential, I think we are going to beat many sides in the tournament.
"Sehwag is here. He will be practicing today (Monday) and a decision on his availability will be taken only tomorrow (Tuesday)."
Pathan said he was confident his side would bounce back from the poor start and regain their form that made them into a formidable team in the previous edition, starting with a victory over the Mumbai Indians in their own backyard.
"We would have liked to have two wins instead of two losses, but we are professional cricketers and we all know that it's a long tournament and once you get the winning momentum, things will turn around," he added. "We are very positive and hopeful of a good show against the Mumbai Indians. We will try and play like Daredevils, like we did last year.
"There is a lot of attention on the star-power in the Mumbai Indians lineup. This might just prove to be an edge for us, as when you play as big stars, they will be under a lot of pressure."
