Los Angeles Lakers News: Shaquille O'Neal Made A Video Thanking The Lakers And Their Fans For His Time With The Team (Video)

After Tuesday night's jersey retirement ceremony, former Los Angeles Lakers center Shaquille O'Neal tweeted out a video simply saying "this is what I want everyone to know."

The video was basically a summary of everything he said in the speech he gave during the jersey retirement ceremony, but it included a few clips of key plays and moments from some of his teammates over the years.

The clips included Derek Fisher's shot with 0.4 left against the San Antonio Spurs, Robert Horry's three pointer against the Sacramento Kings, and the time freezing alley-oop that Kobe Bryant threw to him in Game 7 of the Western Conference finals against the Portland Trailblazers.

He finished the video talking about his time with Bryant, saying that there was much more positive than negative and the good ultimately outweighed all the bad blood between them. He followed up by saying, "You were my teammate and my brother, and I'm glad to call you both."

Shaq became the ninth Laker to have his jersey retired when his No. 34 is hung in the Staples Center rafters Tuesday night. Others honored include: Wilt Chamberlain (13), Elgin Baylor (22), Gail Goodrich (25), Magic Johnson (32), Kareem Abdul-Jabaar (33), James Worthy (42), Jerry West (44) and Jamaal Wilkes (52), who are all in the Hall of Fame.

O'Neal averaged 27 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.5 blocks per game in 514 regular-season contests with the Lakers.
