With the match evenly poised, both India and Australia will be keen to get the upperhand when the third day's play in the fourth Test match continues between the two teams at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

India are 266 for eight at the end of the second day's play on an attritional Delhi wicket, four runs ahead of Australia's first innings score of 262 all out.

The second day belonged to Nathan Lyon, who picked up five of the eight Indian wickets, bowling superbly and causing the Indian batsmen, who had been largely untroubled throughout the series, a lot of problems.

"Yes, this performance is up there," Lyon told reporters when asked if it was one of his best ever bowling performances. "I really enjoyed myself and felt quite confident in the contest. So, yes, it's the best day I can remember.

"I was lucky enough to get these wickets. I didn't get all the wickets by myself, there were bowlers at the other end doing a great job and bowling in partnerships. That was probably one area where we didn't do too well in the first three Tests."

Lyon praised the captaincy of Shane Watson, who was standing in for the injured Michael Clarke, ruled out of the Test due to a back injury.

"I was quite happy to bowl under a new captain," he added. "Shane's a great player and leader. Everyone has got so much respect for him and I thought he led the team really well today in these tough conditions. Michael Clarke is the best captain I've ever played under and Shane's not too far behind him."

The day will also be remembered because Pragyan Ojha picked up his 100th Test wicket, with the dismissal of James Pattinson.

"It's a great thing," Ojha told BCCI's official website. "When you're playing, you don't realise, but at the end of the day when people start congratulating you, that's when you realise it's something special.

"I was just checking my phone and a lot of people have sent me messages of congratulations, including my senior colleagues from Hyderabad. It's a great feeling to reach 100 wickets."
