San Jose and Anaheim meet up for the third time this season. The teams have split the first two games. Each team won on home ice, so if the pattern continues, Anaheim has a good chance of taking Monday night's game. The Ducks are currently sitting comfortably on top of the Pacific Division while the Sharks are in danger of missing the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Anaheim Ducks have only lost three games in regulation this season. They begin a five-game homestead are going 2-0-1 on their recent road trip. The Ducks have won their last 11 games and look to continue the streak tonight. 12 home wins would be a franchise record. Ryan Getzlaf is on a hot streak with six goals and 12 assists during a 10 game home point streak. Much of the Ducks' success can be credited towards goalie Jonas Hiller who stopped 63 of 65 on the first two games of the trip. He has a 2.14 goals-against average during a six-game home winning streak. The Ducks have won six of eight at home against the Sharks.

San Jose is hoping to avoid a season-high fifth straight road loss. While Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau both have four-game point streak, the team has struggled to find consistency. The Sharks have not lost five straight regular season games since an 0-4-2 stretch from Oct. 24-Nov. 26, 2010. Antti Niemi is struggling in his last few games, posting a 3.64 GAA while going 1-2-1 in his last five starts. He has been pulled twice during that run. He did put up 28 saves against the Ducks in January, having a 1.76 GAA in four career starts at Anaheim.
