NBA Dunk Contest 2013 Participants and Predictions of Who Will Win All-Star Weekend Jam Exhibition

Feb 16, 2013 03:37 PM EST

The 2013 Sprite Dunk Contest will highlight Saturday night's exhibition games putting a cap on a night where players will specifically showoff specific talents. Check out who will participate in the 2013 Slam Dunk competitions and who we predict to win.

The 2012 Slam Dunk Champion, Utah Jazz's Jeremy Evans, will be in the house laced up and with his gear on as he gets set to take his game to another level in Houston. Last year, Evans got a little creative with his dunks. On paper, they didn't really feature anything exciting; jumping over Kevin Hart who's like four feet tall and jumping over a teammate on a chair. However the creativity is what earned him points.

Hart is, arguably, the most popular comedian out there right now. When you involve his theatrics in a dunk, you already know fans are going to love it and that's what the games are about, entertaining the fans and starting a buzz. Evans then dunked over teammate Gordon Heyward, but he put two balls in the rim at the same time.

Of course, Evans succeeded and the rest is history. He was crowned 2012 champion.

Check out the list of competitors who will attempt to take Evans' crown.

Eric Bledsoe of the Los Angeles Clippers
Kenneth Faried of the Denver Nuggets
, who has the most dunks out of any of these competitors with 90.
Gerald Green of the Indiana Pacers
Terrence Ross of the Toronto Raptors
James White of the New York Knicks

Who Will Win?
I'm very excited to see White dunk. He was an absolute monster in college and put on a show in D-League exhibitions. Are we ready to see the first between the league dunk in the history of the game? White has the capacity and the hops to do so.

Though he might be an underdog and a little seasoned in the age department, I'll place my money on James. Check out his dunks available in the link above.
