The Christmas holiday is coming up fast and some of the best holiday gift options for sports fans this season include team jerseys, video games, movies, DVDs, books, team apparel and electronics related to the NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA and college football.

DVDs

30 for 30 box set from ESPN, Ken Burns Baseball documentary, Ronaldo documentary

There are all types of DVDs and movies out there for sports fans, but for the holiday season some options that are sure to make people happy include the 30 for 30 series from ESPN as well as Ken Burns Baseball and a new documentary on Ronaldo. The 30 for 30 box sets have a number of different movies from the ESPN series, including ones on the Len Bias, the Miami Hurricanes, SMU football and more.

Video Games

This year was a banner year for sports video games and these options across the major sports are all great picks for holiday gifts. Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 is not quite as a good as FIFA 16, but for fans of that game this one will not disappoint. The current edition of FIFA has some new features and some fantastic graphics and the new interface is a great upgrade for this new version. NBA 2K16 continues to be the best basketball game out there, while Madden NFL 16, NHL 16 and MLB 15: The Show are also great options. Baseball still has some months to go before it starts so any baseball fan could gear up for the season with The Show.

The ESPN book is a big oral history of the network and details it from the beginnings all the way to the network becoming a dominant force in sports and entertainment. The book has interviews with numerous big names that used to work for the network and some current names and is a very entertaining read. Scorecasting offers a "Freakonomics" style look at sports and has some great essays and intriguing looks at football, baseball and other sports.
