Chicago Bears News and Rumors: Jeremiah Ratliff Released, Player Had Altercation With GM Ryan Pace, Team Adds Ziggy Hood

The Chicago Bears have released another veteran player from their defense as they announced that they have decided to part ways with defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff.

Ratliff apparently was involved in an altercation with Bears General Manager Ryan Pace. Ratliff was involved in another altercation when Pace intervened and that is when the situation escalated. The police were apparently called and escorted Ratliff off the property.

Ratliff has not had a great season to start; he was suspended for the first 3 games of the season for violating the NFL's policy for substance abuse. This is not even the first time that Ratliff has had an incident like this, last Christmas Ratliff had to be removed from a practice after an argument with a teammate. Ratliff was on the Cowboys prior to this stint with the Bears and will be best known for getting into a heated locker room discussion with Jerry Jones.

Ratliff also may have mislead the Cowboys in embellishing a hamstring injury however at the end of the day Ratliff's unpredictable and aggressive demeanor got him booted off of the Cowboys not his nagging injuries. Ziggy Hood was added as Ratliff's replacement, Hood was released by the Jaguars earlier this week.
