Giants vs. Cardinals Live Stream: Watch Free Online Game 3 of NLCS

The St. Louis Cardinals will play at home against the San Francisco Giants as both teams are tied 1-1 in the NLDS. Game 3's first pitch will be thrown a little after 4 p.m. ET.

The Giants carry momentum after winning Game 2 in a 7-1 routing of the Cardinals.

For the first time this postseason they had a pitcher go past the 6th inning as Ryan Vogelsong gave the Giants what they needed to get the win. The bullpen got much needed rest and more importantly the tie in the series.

The Giants did not want to go into St. Louis down 0-2 in the series. The Cardinals are an unforgiving team that will not let errors slip by, let alone a 2-0 series lead in a postseason series.

There was thought that Matt Holliday's hard slide at second would create beef that would escalade into something physicaly, but both clubs proved professional knowing that the N.L. pennant is at stake and decided to play on.

The good news for Giants fans, and probably Holliday as well, is that Marco Scutaro is back in the lineup.

Almost as a form of karma, Scutaro lined a bases-clearing single that drove in two runs and a third run on a Holliday error, which broke Game 2 open in favor of the Giants.

On the mound for the home squad will be Kyle Lohse. He is 1-0 in the playoffs with a 2.13 ERA allowing just three runs in 12.2 innings pitched. Opposing Lohse will be the Giants' ace Matt Cain who is 1-1 with a 5.06 ERA in 10.2 innings pitched. He has allowed three earned runs in both of his starts.
