Boston Celtics News 2012: Jason Terry Tattoos NBA Trophy Held By Team Leprechaun On His Forearm

Jason Terry of the Boston Celtics had another brilliant tattoo idea. He inked the Celtics' leprechaun holding up the Larry O'Brien Championship trophy on his forearm.

This sounds all too familiar right?

In 2011, before the beginning of the season he got the Larry O'Brien trophy on his right bicep.

Sports bring out a superstitious nature from athletes and Terry does not fall behind as one of them. We have all heard the story about Michael Jordan playing with his North Carolina Tar Heel shorts underneath his Chicago Bulls shorts. This prompted a change around the NBA as Jordan chose to start wearing bigger shorts, something not seen in the league.

Highly doubt that more NBA players will get tattoos of NBA trophies on their bodies before they win one the way Terry did in the 2011 season.

The question can be asked. What is he thinking?!

Does he not know that LeBron James has the respect of the league and the Miami Heat team just got better with the addition of Ray Allen? Was he getting the tattoo done as the Lakers traded for Dwight Howard?

He got lucky in 2011 as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Heat in the Finals, but by the looks of it, the Celtics might not be making the run for the Finals this season.

Terry is a great role player and can ignite a team with his style of play, but will the tattoo and his style of play be enough to get him into the Finals?

We shall find out.
