Aaron Hernandez is facing life in prison for the murder of Odin Lloyd and after he was put in jail and denied bail once again, the sister who spoke with Lloyd the night of the murder has come out to speak about her brother and why he was so important in her life.
In a video posted by ABC News, Olivia Thibou talks about her brother Odin Lloyd, saying that he was like a father figure to her and that the two talked every day, which included the night of the murder. The timeline laid out by prosecutors at Hernandez's bail hearing is scary in how stark it is, as the player has no excuses about where he was, as he was caught on surveillance and in text messages with Lloyd just minutes before he was killed.
Thibou spoke about how hard it was to hear from the police that her brother was dead and that she hoped that it was a dream and not a real thing. She spoke of him in great terms and said that he was good to her and funny and that he was someone she could always go to when she needed help. She was upset in the video, but held her composure and said that he was like a father to her.
Hernandez has been charged with murder in the first degree for the death of Lloyd and it reportedly sparked from a moment at a nightclub where Lloyd disrespected him. Lloyd was killed and his body was found a mile from the tight end's home and it had shell casings nearby. The two were connected through their girlfriend's, as they were sisters. He is facing life in jail for his crimes and the former Boston Bandits player was remembered for his skills and love of football. Hernandez was released by the Patriots and now may by behind bars for the rest of his life.
