Justin Timberlake might not have been referring to Britney Spears while performing at the DirecTV Super Bowl concert on Saturday in New Orleans, but many people think he was insulting the popular female pop artist.

It was right before singing one of his solo hits, "Cry Me A River," that Timberlake said ""Sometimes in life, you think you found the one. But then one day you find out, that she is just some b***h!"

Many say Timberlake wrote this song to Spears after they broke up years ago. It just seems too much of a coincidence for the artist to base it off anybody else and not to mention the "girlfriend" in the video has been considered a Spears look-alike.

After the word of Timberlake's comments got out into the public following Saturday's performance, the artist immediately tweeted his thoughts saying he would never disrespect Britney in such fashion.

The former N'SYNC member recently married the beautiful Jessica Biel. It's time people got over the fact that Timberlake and Spears dated. Artists usually like to comment on their songs before they begin singing. There was nothing unnatural about Timberlake saying what he said before breaking out into "Cry Me A River." The little intro is a teaser and allows fans to get into the performance and connect with the artist.

Back in 2011, the artist discussed his relationship with Spears. "I wish her the best -- that goes without saying. We haven't spoken in nine or ten years," he said at the time. "We were two birds of the same feather - small-town kids, doing same thing. But when you become adults, and the way you were as kids doesn't make any sense. I won't speak on her, but at least for me, I was a totally different person."
