Chip Kelly Gets Support from Eagles Players and Fans on Twitter (Tweets)

Jan 16, 2013 02:21 PM EST

As the world knows by now thanks to the media coverage this story received, Chip Kelly is the new Philadelphia Eagles head coach as the Fiesta Bowl winner left the Oregon Ducks to take his chances in the NFL. Check out fan reactions on Twitter.

The first one we'll show you is pretty funny and clever. One fan didn't hesitate to provide Kelly with an endorsement.

Absolutely clever. Who doesn't love Chips Ahoy?

The Eagles website took the time to go over many tweets and they hand picked the ones they found congratulating the newest head coach. You can click here to look at the list of tweets.

Our favorite, the last tweet of course.

It's random, could be true and gives Kelly another food endorsement idea in the future. That turkey looks absolutely delicious!

This fan simply can't wait to watch what Kelly will do with stars like LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson who are both two of the best in their respective positions as running back and wide receiver.

Injuries slowed down both players in 2012, but they still put up decent numbers. Jackson caught 700 yards and three touchdowns in only 45 catches and 11 games. McCoy led the run game with 840 rushing yards with two touchdowns in 12 games.

Michael Vick still possesses one of the strongest arms in the league and is versatile enough to escape the pocket. His ability and knack to rely on the scramble led to many turnovers, but a lack off a decent offensive line led to a lot of hits and eventually Vick was injured and inactive.

Kelly left behind an Oregon team that was ranked second in scoring and third in rushing in the FBS rankings. Though the NFL and college football present different obstacles, the Eagles will be happy to know that their talent on offense will have a chance to shine.

It's understandable why Eagles fans are so accepting. Let's see how the NFL treats Coach Kelly.
