Manchester United Transfer Rumors: Wilfried Zaha to Join United After Tottenham and Arsenal Pull Out of Moves

Manchester United are set to complete the signing of Wilfried Zaha, after the other interested clubs pulled out of the running for the highly-rated Crystal Palace winger.

Zaha is one of the most wanted players from the Championship, with speculation constantly linking the 20-year-old with a move to some of the biggest clubs in England.

The winger recently admitted he would be open to a move to the English Premier League in January, with Tottenham reportedly making an official bid for the starlet.

However, the likes of Spurs and Arsenal have now given up on signing Zaha, after privately admitting United have already agreed terms with the player, according to the Daily Telegraph.

United have been the favorites to land Zaha over the past few weeks, and now it seems like Sir Alex Ferguson will have another promising youngster to mould into an Old Trafford great.

The only question is whether United will be willing to loan back Zaha for the rest of the season, as Palace look to get promoted to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Robin Van Persie has thanked the fans for their support, ever since making a move from Arsenal in the summer. The Dutch striker has been in prolific form for United this season, and has almost single-handedly carried them to the top of the table.

The United faithful showed their appreciation by voting him the player of the month for December, winning 58 percent of the votes.

"It's always nice to be recognised by the fans," he told the club's official website. "I have settled into the club quite quickly and I am really enjoying playing in this team. I would like to thank the fans for all their support.

"It's not all about scoring goals, but obviously that does help. It's great that so many players have scored goals over the season so far.

"December is always a difficult month and I feel we have come through this period as we wanted to and hopefully we can now push on for the rest of the season."
