The Washington Redskins are currently in the playoff picture, but as they get ready to face a tough Dallas Cowboys team, quarterback Robert Griffin III proved in Wednesday's press conference that he mentally has what it takes toget them into the playoffs.

RGIII understands that the Redskins will not be able to score on every play, so his focus is to take advantage on the Cowboys' defense when they screw up. He pointed out that teams will draw up the perfect plays and eventually be able to stop their dynamic offense. However, he knows the pistol set will confuse opponents enough times during a game and this is when they have to take advantage.

This comment should comfort Redskins fans and their teammates as it proves that RGIII is patient and currently mature enough to slow the game down. He will be looking for the right opportunities to make the right decisions and won't force any plays.

Another great sign for fans was how cool RGIII was in the press conference. When asked about Pierre Garcon's impact on the team, RGIII replied, "Right, Pierre Garcon" adding emphasis on the pronunciation of his wide receiver's last name, "I like saying his name, it's pretty cool."

He is focused enough to answer the questions, but yet so relaxed he can sit back and relish the moment with reporters while being himself.

RGIII said his knee is ready and will hold up against the pressure he's likely to see from the Cowboys defense.

"Knee's fine," he told reporters. "Whatever I feel like I can do on that day I will. I'll be able to do more.-- I'll answer your question, I won't dodge it.-- I'll be able to do more against the Cowboys than I was against Philly."

The Cowboys better prepare because if RGIII can perform better against them than he did against the Eagles then they are in for a long night. He finished that game 16-24 with two touchdowns and one interception.

RGIII already burned the Cowboys for four touchdowns and 304 passing yards on Thanksgiving, so if he's healthy, it might be bad news for the Cowboys on Sunday night.

This Sunday night game will be the final game of the NFL's regular season. The Cowboys need a win to clinch the division and make the playoffs. The Redskins' playoff hopes aren't dependent on a win, but clinching the NFC East is what they want to do.

Kickoff is a little after 8:20 p.m. ET. Look for a mature and focused RGIII to take his Redskins to victory on Sunday.
