NY Mets vs. Chicago Cubs Live Stream: Online NLCS Game 4 Streaming MLB Playoffs

The New York Mets and Chicago Cubs are playing Game 4 of the NLCS on Wednesday and the matchup from Wrigley Field has NY up 3-0 in the series. The game is live on TV from TBS and is streaming live online and has Steven Matz taking on Jason Hammel as the Cubbies try and survive for another day.

The Mets got another home run from Daniel Murphy and now he has hit a jack in five straight games and the team now has the chance to clinch a World Series spot. The Mets won the first three games with Matt Harvey, Noah Syndergaard and Jacob deGrom pitching and now they have Steven Matz going for Game 4. The Mets have had the pitching depth all season and it has been one major advantage in the playoffs over the other teams in the NL.

The Mets were able to beat aces Jake Arrieta and Jon Lester for the Cubs and now Chicago puts Hammel on the mound as they try and stay alive for another game. DeGrom gave up two early runs, but he was able to settle in and the Mets got another home run from Murphy, who has been as hot as anyone in the postseason. The Mets have not been to the World Series since making it back when they played the Yankees in 2000 and it has been a long road to this point.

The team has been getting contributions from up and down the lineup and players like Murphy, David Wright and Curtis Granderson have come through when needed. The Mets previously lost all seven regular season games against the Cubs, but those came before the team made trades at the deadline to add players like Yoenis Cespedes and Tyler Clippard. The team now just needs to win one more game and that would extend the long streak for the Cubs of not making it to the World Series for another season.

The Cubs are hoping for a miracle like the 2004 Red Sox, who came back from a 3-0 deficit against the Yankees. The team has Theo Epstein in the fold and they are playing a New York team, so if it was going to happen again, why not to the Cubbies? The chances are slim and the Cubs now just need to take things one game at a time to stay alive. The Cubs dealt with a major mistake by Jorge Soler, who let a ball get by him in the outfield and while the ivy turned it into a ground rule double, the Mets were able to continue things and later took a 5-2 lead.

The Mets now can close things out and if they win Game 4, they will advance to the World Series.
