Swansea City and Tottenham Hotspur are playing live on the English Premier League schedule and the game from Liberty Stadium starts at 11 am ET and is on the NBC Sports Network and streaming online from the NBCSN Live Extra website as the Spurs visit in EPL action as both teams look to stay in the mix with the holiday games coming up towards Christmas Day.
Tottenham comes in scuffling a bit and they will be looking to move up on the league standings and it comes after the team played in the Europa League earlier in the week. Emmanuel Adebayor will be out for this match for a personal issue, while Swansea goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski will also be out in the matchup. Tottenham has played on Sunday quite a bit over the past two years and now they are looking to get a win here and it comes after the team made it into the knockout stages of the Europa league.
This will be the first matchup away from home after a Europa League matchup and they are hoping it turns into a win. Swansea made it into the league last year and they come in with most of their points this season coming at home. Swansea has 22 points this season and they have gotten 17 of those at home and they are looking to get some more. Swansea has played well and after starting in the top four, they have slipped a bit and now are trying to get things going in the right direction.
Swansea hasn't won against the Spurs in a long time and Tottenham comes in unbeaten in six tries in Premier League play. The team has kept some clean sheets this season and they are looking for that again and now the Spurs come in having won more away points than at home this season. White Hart Lane has not been very kind to the team this season and that makes this matchup important, as they need to get points, as they are 10th on the league table.
The team had a draw with Crystal last weekend and that ended a run of seven games without keeping a clean sheet and now they will try for another one. Before that the team lost 3-0 at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea and coming up they have games with Manchester United as well as Chelsea on New Years Day.
