Manchester City and Roma are playing live on the UEFA Champions League schedule on Wednesday and the match from Stadio Olimpico is a huge one for Group E, as the standings are close and now Man City cannot afford a bad performance and things start up at 2:45 pm ET and streaming online from the Fox Soccer 2Go website.

Captain Vincent Kompany and midfielder David Silva could be out for Man City and that will make things tough, as the team has already lost Sergio Aguero. Aguero was injured over the weekend and now he could be out for over a month and he comes in as the leading scorer for Man City this season. Man City will be out with a loss, as they did not win any of their first four games in Group E, including an away matchup with Bayern Munich. The team also lost at home against CSKA Moscow and had draws with that team and Roma and now they have to find a way to get things done.

Kompany has been out for the past two games, while Silva has not played since October while dealing with a knee issue. The team needs to get things going if they want to advance, as a loss here would knock the team out of the group stage. That could be a huge hit for the club, as they were the champs of the EPL and could be on the outside looking in. Aguero had a hat trick in the home win against Bayern and now they need to do it without him.

Man City will be through with a win and they also need CSKA Moscow lose to Bayern, which is likely considering the match is in Germany. The team also could get a draw if the team loses and still advance and Manuel Pellegrini said his team would be ready no matter what happens. The team is tied in points with CSKA and Roma and all three are behind Bayern, who has 12 points in four wins, while everyone else has two draws, two losses and one win for five points.

Last year Man City won the title in the EPL and they won it over Liverpool, who ended up out of the group stage in the UCL after the way they played against Basel. Man City now has the chance to keep things going and they also continued to move along in the EPL standings after their performance this weekend. Losing Aguero will be tough as the team moves forward and they need to get things going in this matchup.
