The Indianapolis Colts and NY Giants are playing on the Monday night football schedule in Week 9 and the game from MetLife Stadium is live at 8:30 pm ET from New York as Eli Manning and Andrew Luck matchup and the game is live on ESPN from TV and the WatchESPN website streaming online and this is huge for both teams, as they are coming off of losses in their last action into MNF.
The Giants come in with Eli Manning and they need a win badly with the way the NFC and the division is shaking out this season and they have a tough task with the Colts. Indy was beaten soundly last week and allowed 50 points, so logic dictates the Giants will suck on offense against them and the Colts probably will win. The Giants have been a very disappointing team overall the past few years and beating good teams is not something they do very often anymore.
Losing Victor Cruz has been tough and now players like Odell Beckham and Rueben Randle will have to continue stepping up for the Giants. Manning has not been as terrible as he was last season, but he has not been that great either and Andrew Luck has been great and it will be up to the overhyped Giants defense to stop him. Luck has 22 touchdowns this season and is on pace to throw for 5,000 yards and chances are he will carve up the Giants secondary on Monday night.
The Giants come into the game after a loss to the Cowboys on the road and now they have three home division games to look forward to in the second half. The Giants have to find a way to win this game, as the division has been very tight and the NFC will start pulling away without a win here. The team has lost two in a row since winning against the Falcons and that capped off a three game winning streak.
The team now has lost two games in a row heading into the bye week and they have streaks of two losses, three wins and two losses this season. After the bye week the Giants have a very tough schedule and that includes a home game with the Colts, a road matchup with the Seattle Seahawks and then the team has the San Francisco 49ers at him and the Dallas Cowboys after that. The team needs to find a way to pull out some of these games or the playoffs will be out of the question once again.
The Giants have the Eagles and Cowboys both playing very well in the division and heading towards the back stretch of the season they have to find a way. The team has the Jaguars and Titans on the road and then the team matches up with the Redskins. The final two games of the season are the rams on the road and the Eagles at home and that final matchup will be huge for the division, at least the Giants hope it will be. Luck and Manning matchup and this could be one of the best games of the season.
