The Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks are playing live on the NBA season schedule on Monday from the American Airlines Center and the game is on at 8:30 pm ET and has Rajon Rondo taking on Dirk Nowitzki in an east vs. west game and both teams have one loss on the season so far, with the Celtics coming in after falling to the Rockets on the road.
The Celtics have some hopes for the season and while they may not be a championship team, the Celtics feel that they will make some progress this year as they rebuild. The team comes in after losing to the Rockets and that saw Jeff Green lead the way with 17 points. Rondo has been off to an impressive start this season after breaking his hand last month and he comes in after putting up 10 rebounds and eight assists in the game against the Rockets.
The Celtics play against the Raptors in a division game next and they are currently ranked sixth in the league in points per game. The team is also ranked fourth in assists per game early in the season and they should be much better than they were last season. Evan Turner and Marcus Smart give the team some more options on offense and that should help Rajon Rondo run the point better as well.
