A Manchester United delegation has flown out to Brazil, to try and entice highly-rated Brazilian teenager Lucas Moura to come to Old Trafford.

Moura is seen as one of Brazil's brightest prospects and already has over 80 appearances under his belt for Sao Paulo at the tender age of 19. The attacking midfielder is also a regular now for his country and is expected to star for Brazil in the London Olympics.

Chelsea and Real Madrid have also been heavily linked with the teenager with the Blues having a reported bid of over £30 million rejected by the club, who value him at £35 million ($55 million).

Real Madrid, however, are considered to be the favorites for the youngster's signature after his family met Real president Florentino Perez at the Bernabeu a few months back and spoke of his love for the club.

Sir Alex Ferguson, however, has not been deterred by the news and has made Moura his prime summer target, according to the Daily Mirror.

Ferguson is trying to convince the Glazers to sanction a £30 million ($47 million) deal with the Scot confident of bringing Sao Paulo down to that price. Sir Alex is confident he will get the go ahead from the American owners, as Moura, who is only 19, will have a good re-sale value as compared to Ferguson's other target Luka Modric. Tottenham also want over £30 million for their 26-year-old playmaker, who will turn 27 in September.

Moura's family also own a part of their son's contract and, if swayed by United's delegates could, convince the Brazilian club to let go of their prized asset.

However, Moura has publicly stated his desire to stay with Sao Paulo till the World Cup in Brazil in 2014. So it is unclear how open the teenager will be to a move to Old Trafford this summer.
