The World Cup is live on ESPN as England and Uruguay matchup in a Group D game on Thursday and it's streaming with a live stream from WatchESPN online at the Arena Corinthians in Sao Paulo and the game is crucial for both sides if they want to stay alive in the tournament and that means Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge and Frank Lampard will be playing with intensity for Roy Hodgson.

Costa Rica won over Uruguay in their opening match, while England lost to Italy after a great goal from Mario Balotelli gave the Italians a 2-1 lead. England and Italy opened up the Amazon Arena in Manaus and that could be a factor here, as that city is one of the hottest of the World Cup sites and England could have a bit of a hangover as they try to recover between matches. Adam Lallana said the team would be confident and ready to win against Uruguay and the biggest question for the opponent is whether Suarez will be in the lineup.

The English side dealt with some cramps due to the weather and this is another reason why no European team has won the World Cup in South America, as they are not used to playing in such extreme temperatures. Spain was eliminated from the knockout stage with a loss to Chile and now they are out after opening with a loss to the Netherlands and this comes after the team won the World Cup in South Africa over the Dutch. Suarez is hoping to be back in the lineup and he missed the first game after getting knee surgery and while there is a chance he could miss the game, Suarez said he was ready to play.

Suarez had a fantastic season in the English Premier League and led the EPL with 31 goals and he is key for the Uruguayan team. Suarez has been known for his bombastic play on the field and some of the reputation was earned at the last World Cup when he took a red card in the game for the quarterfinals in 2010. Raheem Sterling gave England a bolt of life in the first game against Italy and he could do it again and he is one player to keep an eye on after the way the defense played for Uruguay during the first game.

England opened with the loss to Italy and they will play against Uruguay in Sao Paulo and then the team finishes the schedule with Costa Rica. Rooney and Steven Gerrard need to step up and Sturridge also played well and could make a difference once again after getting the goal for England. Wayne Rooney set him up perfectly and if England can attack like they did at points in the first game, they have a good chance to win. England comes in with tough history after winning in 1966 and they have yet to get back to the final and this generation is mixed with a young group and they need three points from this game.
