England comes in looking to win their first World Cup in decades and they have not been to the final since they took the Cup at home in 1966 and every British fan knows that, while Italy comes in with a strong history in the tournament and they both know winning the first match is crucial. Both teams are hoping to leave with points and some of the early matches included Brazil winning over Croatia and the Netherlands taking down Spain in a rematch of the 2010 final.

England has Wayne Rooney as their leader and the team is young and deep but also untested and Roy Hodgson will have to do a good job to get them through to the knockout stage. England is strong through group play usually and they have advanced to the knockout stages in each of the last 10 years.
