The Seattle Sounders and Philadelphia Union are playing live on the MLS soccer schedule and the match is streaming online and comes at 10 pm ET from CenturyLink Field and Clint Dempsey is starting to heat up and the team is looking to stay hot at home with three of the next four coming from the Link.

Clint Dempsey is leading the team with eight goals and he also has two assists on the season and he is coming in just as his old team in England was relegated, as Fulham was knocked down from the Premier League and Dempsey is coming in after scoring two goals. Seattle comes into the game after dominating Colorado and Dempsey scored twice in that matchup and he has been going deeper and playing better and coming up the team is playing against Dallas at home before a matchup with New England on the road and then against San Jose and Vancouver.

Seattle is in first place on the league table in the standings and they have continued scoring in bunches and they could end up being the highest scoring team in the league this season. The team has won five games and lost two while putting up one draw and they are tied with Dallas on points. Dallas is ahead of Real Salt Lake and Colorado, while Vancouver is next with Los Angeles, San Jose, Chivas and Portland coming up and the Timbers are in last place with zero wins and five draws.

Seattle started the season with a win against Kansas City after a late goal in extra time to get the win against the defending MLS Cup champs and then after that they lost to Toronto and then won against Montreal before falling against the Crew at home. The team pulled a draw with the Timbers and have now won two in a row and after playing the next three at home the team visits New England and then plays against San Jose and the Vancouver Whitecaps. Seattle coach Sigi Schmid said that his team is ready to play and that things have been taking a positive turn over the past two games and they are on a verge of a nice roll.

The coach also came out against the MLS playing games during the World Cup, as the teams and their players were expecting to have off during the two week event. The coach made his comments about the US Open Cup and while he said that he supports a competition like that, scheduling it during the World Cup when players and the teams were supposed to have off is a mistake. The World Cup runs from June 12-24 and one top of that, many of the best players in the league will be participating.
