The UConn Huskies and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are playing in the NCAA women's college basketball tournament national championship game on Tuesday night and the game on ESPN and WatchESPN with a live stream is starting up at 8:30 pm ET and has two undefeated teams looking to win and has Connecticut looking to match what the men did on Monday night after they won the title.

The NCAA women's national championship basketball game on Tuesday night already has some history coming into it, as the UConn Huskies and the Norte Dame Fighting Irish are both undefeated and this is the first time that two teams come into the title game without any losses and now only one can be crowned champion. Connecticut is the most dominant women's program and they are looking to go 40-0 this season as they play ND in the finals, while the Irish are 37-0 on the season as they come into the national title game.

Both teams have played tough matchups heading into the finals and now they have one last test against each other to see who will be the champions. Notre Dame coach Muffet McGraw and UConn coach Geno Auriemma have gone back and forth with each other in the media over the years and now they will match up on Tuesday night to see who is the champion and it comes after the teams split from the Big East, where their rivalry was one of the most heated in college sports.

Kayla McBride and Breanna Stewart are the best players for ND and UConn and they will have the focus coming into the game, which will be live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Tuesday. Stewart comes in after leading the team to a win in the final four against Stanford and that saw her nearly put up a double-double with 18 points and seven rebounds and she also added two assists and one steal in the matchup. McBride will be hard to stop and against Maryland she had 28 points and seven rebounds and she will be key if the Irish wants to get past the Huskies. Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis was key against Stanford, scoring 15 points in the second half and that depth will be tested on Tuesday night.

Now both teams come into the game undefeated and that is the first time that has happened in either men's or women's college basketball and with the rivalry being so fierce, the two teams have played 12 times the past three seasons, both schools will be looking to get the one up on each other. UConn center Stefanie Dolson will be a key player as well, as she comes in after being names the defensive player of the year in Division I and Notre Dame will have to be on her at all times. The last time that the men's and women's championships had the same winner was back in 2004 when both UConn teams did it and now they have the chance again, as this is the fourth time in history that the same school makes it to the finals for both and UConn has now done it twice.
