The Daytona 500 is here and qualifying is live on Sunday and the stream is online to watch from FOX and the Fox Sports Go website for the NASCAR Sprint race qualifying run during Speedweeks and comes from Florida for the Super Bowl of stock car racing and with practices starting on Friday, a number of drivers are ready, including Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, Danica Patrick, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Denny Hamlin.

Jimmie Johnson won his sixth title last season in grand fashion and now the 2014 season kicks off next week and that race will start up at 1 pm and it the biggest of the year and before that will be the Sprint Cup Budweiser Duels starting up at 7 pm on Thursday. Seven drivers are into the race already and the matchup on February 23rd should be a good one and comes after Danica Patrick finished tops in qualifying last season and that was quite the accomplishment and now she comes in with something to prove after there was some controversy regarding some comments that legend Richard Petty made leading into the race.

The Budweiser Duels will get drivers into the race as well and the fastest drivers in qualifying will get the top two row spots and into next week there will be multiple races, including the Camping World Truck Series and Nationwide series races before the Sprint Cup schedule starts. The Fox Sports Go stream has coverage of the Daytona events and the qualifying comes before the Duels and those are two 60 lap races and have been a great event over the past few years. The drivers in would be Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Austin Dillon, Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon in heading into the quals and Patrick comes in looking to do better overall this time around after winning the pole last season at the race in Florida.

Pole qualifying comes in on Sunday and Patrick was 22nd in the second practice session and Stewart finished 38th after she dealt with some engine issues, while Johnson had a great day and finished ninth in the second set of practice and now he has momentum heading into things as well. The Daytona 500 has plenty of pomp and this year will be no different, as Chris Evans aka Captain America will kick things off at the race and he comes after names like Ben Affleck, Kate Upton and James Franco have been the grand marshals and now he will be next. Gary Sinise the actor will be the honorary starter for the race and comes after Ray Lewis did it last season and it will be for the 56th Daytona race. Tony Stewart returned from his injury last season and he put up 50 laps in his session and now is ready for action.
